First of all, I read and cultivated a cultivation book to devise a simple cultivation method.

What I found was that Nalta jute was surprisingly easy to grow, but was bred and harvested only during high temperatures.

First, sowing seeds

Daiso (One Dollar shop) bought two 100 yen Nalta jute seeds.

I would like to grow the seeds in a plastic bottle hydroponic device (> > Learn more about how to make this ).

First, sprinkle the seeds properly and cover them with palm peat. ( Nalta jute is a photophilic seed. )

Nalta jute sowing started on May 15, 2016.

The average temperature in May was 20 ° C in Tokyo.
(Nalta jute has a suitable germination temperature of 25-30 ° C.)

After 6 days, many seeds have germinated. (^ ◇ ^)

15 days later Since the main leaves have become two or three , select only two here.

The root was cut with scissors without removing it.

After 24 days, the leaves are growing and growing smoothly.

32 days later

I feel that the container I was growing is small ... I move it to a large container (I noticed from the beginning! w ( ｀ー´)ノ thrust into)

At this time, I noticed a Nalta jute leaf change along with the size of the container
