Basil was the reason for starting the kitchen garden.

That's why I raise basil every year since then. (^ ◇ ^)

I grow it every year, but until now I bought seeds and planted them, so
I researched basil again.

Surprisingly, basil is a herb with continuous disability and raised in a sunny place
It seems that good basil cannot be made without water or fertilizer.
(I want to eat delicious basil!)

Up until now, I used to cultivate in soil, but this time I decided to cultivate it in hydroponics, considering continuous cropping problems and water and fertilizer.

First, sowing seeds

Daiso (One Dollar shop) buys two 100 yen basil seeds (/・ω・)/

Plastic bottle hydroponic plant (> > Learn more about how to make it )

Soak seeds on and lightly cover with palm peat. ( Basil is a light-seeding seed, so lightly cover it. )

* If you don't germinate, place the seeds on a water-moistened kitchen paver and seal with a tapper If it germinates, it is better to plant it in a container.

Seeding of basil started on May 15, 2016.

The average temperature in May was 20 ° C in Tokyo.
(Basil germination temperature is 20 ~ 25 ℃)

Nine days later, the seeds germinated. (^ ◇ ^)

* When growing in Otsuka House (OAT House), use 2000 times concentrated solution from germination to harvest.

5 days after the first seed germinates,

Other species have germinated.

After 11 days, the true leaves have grown. (^ ◇ ^)

Since this is the first time I'm growing in hydroponics, I hope it grows properly.

After 19 days, I think that this is a small container (every time (; '∀')) and transfer it to a larger one.
